OUR MATARIKI ACTIVITIES

Kia ora

Our Matariki display is now up in the ex BNZ building. It's looking fantastic and show cases the talents of our nga tamariki and kaiako.

A huge thanks to Murray Brown for lending us the space. Julie , Gwen and Janet from Wave for their assistance. Miriama for the beautiful flax flowers.

A big thanks to all the schools and early childhood centres for finding the time to commit to the teaching and learning around Matariki. The results are very evident in the Mahi. Also check out the awesome posters in the town library.

Apologies for some of the photos. The glare of the window made it difficult to photograph. Pop down and see the display in person.

Matariki hunga, Matariki ahunga nui.

Matariki has many admirers, Matariki brings us together.

Matariki Breakfast was a great way to start a very frosty morning at Makikihi School today.

Thank you to all the families who were able to join us today. What a lovely feeling it was to have many of our whanau back on site for the first time in 2 years- a great opportunity to celebrate Matariki and meet new families and reconnect with old families.

We look forward to another catch-up on-site early next term.
